Kia strolled into the bar, her back straight shoulders high and eyes scanning everything in the recent vicinity. She pretty much stalked to the bar, not walking quickly but very hard. Although she was little more than a slip of a girl, a few people avoided eye contact generally out of the base instincts people tried to pretend they didn’t have. She ordered a drink with as few words as possible, trying to ignore the stench of the place. It was virtually empty – but it had years of human sweat and skin all over the place. Most people would probably see this place as rather clean, they would just smell the normal scents of a bar room. Not the scent of a hundred men varying in fear and elation. It was all she could do not to screw up her face and throw up.
She took a few seconds to locate a place in which she could sit where it would not be as bad. Settling on a table with a few chairs – not the best, as people may sit with her – but it was the only seat where she could sit with the back to a wall, face the door and have the pleasure of a small draft. Albeit the smell of the street was nothing to have a party about – but it dispersed the smell of pure human.
The full moon wasn’t long off, so alcohol was out of the question. So she had ordered a glass of cola. Something about the stuff stopped the gnawing hunger from her stomach, without relaxing her senses overly. Simply placating herself with the fact that in a few nights she could go – hunt and finally have some decent food was enough to make her relax a little. Now she just needed something to entertain her until the moon came up – or she was going to go mad with the boredom.

Taylor wasn’t one for bars, even in the recent state of the world. She hated everything that was going on, hated how everything just suddenly came to a screeching halt. It seemed so surreal, but there was nothing she could do about, because she did recognize that this was really happening. The world was coming to an end.
Despite everything, somehow Taylor wound up in the bar. She didn’t really know what had possessed her to go there, but regardless she was there. Looking around at the few people in there as well as the area itself, this didn’t seem like such a good place to be. There was just something about it that seemed off to her. It wasn’t just the costumers or the owner, it was all of it. It was the atmosphere.
Something had resolved within Taylor that urged her not to leave, to explore this place further. Slowly she stepped inside, almost cautiously, as if there were something to be cautious about. She felt strange, out of place, even as she approached the bar and asked for a glass of water. It was simple, but she didn’t really want anything else.

Kia’s head rose as the door swung open, the first time it had even moved since she had come in and sat down. Her head tilted to one side as she took in the girl’s appearance. Apart from herself, this new girl was probably the youngest thing in the bar. The new one looked even more out of place than she did. Kia had a good habit of fading into the background, albeit – in this place she looked shockingly out of place – it was the red hair that did it.
Closing her eyes for a few brief seconds she blocked out all of her senses but her nose and tried to direct it towards the new comer. It took most of her control to ignore the stench of filth in the place, cut through that and pick up the new scent. Human, again. A few seconds longer she shook her head and resumed her previous stance, this human was a little different to the ones in the bar, she wasn’t spilling fear.
This was weird in its self. Most people seemed terrified lightly. It was becoming a drug. When the full moon came up she lost even more control than usual. Being scared and running from a wolf was a hellishly bad combination that commonly leads to many people’s untimely deaths. It was a little refreshed to see someone not on the verge of speeding in any direction they possible could.
